GOOD LUCK FARGO MARATHON RUNNERS!!!!!

We love to watch the Fargo Marathon every year, for the last two years it has gone right past Joel's parents house. It is so amazing to watch, it almost makes me want to learn how to run and participate some year....however for now we will just stick to cheering all the amazing runners on! Hopefully the rain clears up so we can take Arie and go watch! Good luck to all who are running!

Summer is finally here

Arie is now 3 weeks old! We can't believe how big she has gotten already! She loves her bouncy seat and sits in it and looks around, lets the dogs lick her face and then takes the best naps in it! It has been so beautiful out so Arie and I have been going on walks every day enjoying the sun and the smell of all the beautiful flowers. She loves walks and just watches everything as we pass by!

Arie went to her first softball game last Sunday to watch her daddy pitch! Well actually she slept most of the game, then she went again on Monday night and met a few more friends, Allie Haskins and Brennen Strautz and again slept through the entire game! :) She is her daddy's number one fan even when she is sleeping!

Joel and I went out on the town for the first time since she was born to celebrate our friend Justin's birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Speral watched her for a few hours while we enjoyed a dinner where we could eat with both hands and were not stuffing our faces so fast in case she woke up! I had my first cocktail in over 9 months and it was delish! :)

This weekend we are going to cheer on the marathon runners on Saturday morning and spend the afternoon celebrating our good friends Emily and Eric's son Emmerich's 1st birthday!!!!! It looks like the weather is going to be beautiful it should be a great weekend!

Congrats Kelly and Aaron!

We want to say congratulations to our good friends Aaron and Kelly who welcomed their little girl Shea Ella on Friday! She is so beautiful, looks just like her momma and is just a little peanut! Arie was so excited to meet her her new best friend today, Arie already seems so big compared to little Shea! It will be fun to see them growing up together. CONGRATS MOMMA AND DADDY you will be great parents!

I wanted to take a picture of the new friends but I didn't have my camera, I know Kelly and Aaron got one so we will share that later!

And our thoughts and prayers are with our other good friends Lisa and Mike who are waiting the arrival of their little girl today, Lisa was induced this morning so we should be hearing their good news anytime! Can't wait to meet their little one too!!!!! So many babies!!!!!

Arie Grace 2 weeks

It is so hard to believe that little miss is already 2 weeks old! These last two weeks have absolutely flown by, we have enjoyed every sleep deprived moment of it! Each day she does something new and it is so exciting seeing her change everyday! We are so blessed to have such a beautiful little girl.

Arie had her first photo shoot on Wednesday-one of many in sure! Our friend Jason took the pictures for us, he is so talented and has such a great eye for capturing life, he really captured Arie's personality. She was wide awake the whole time and didn't fuss until the end! She likes having all the attention I think! Thanks so much Jason for doing this, we will treasure these forever!

We also had our two week doctor appointment today, Arie is doing fabulously! The doctor said our goal was to have her back to her birth weight since she lost weight in the beginning. She actually surpassed her birth weight and weighed 6 lbs 13 oz! The doctor was so pleased with her weight gain and how she was doing, she said she is perfect! Well I always thought so but I'm biased, it was nice to hear it from the doctor as well!

Here are a few of the pictures that Jason took (JM Wright Photography)hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Just an Arie update!

Well Joel went back to work today :( It was a hard night and a hard morning thinking of him not being here with Arie and me today. I definitely had a little break down last night about it. I wish he could have 13 weeks off with me and Arie!!!! We are still trying to get into some sort of a routine-way harder than we thought! Little Miss Arie is a night owl! She sleeps all day and by 11:00 m she is WIDE awake and there is no tricking her into going to bed! Hopefully she will grow out of that soon and we can get her to bed at a decent hour! Here are a few more pictures of our little babe!

We spent Mother's Day with my parents who drove up from Brainerd and Joel's family, it was a great first Mother's Day filled with lots of family and yummy food! I hope all the fabulous mother's in my life had a great day-love you all!

Week in review

It's hard to believe that Arie is one week old already! The past week has flown by, we are just trying to get settled in and get into the swing of things with a brand new baby! Arie has had a busy week, she went shopping for the first time, went out to lunch with mom, dad and grandma Diane, had a bath, went to the doctor, met my co-workers and lots of new friends and family!

Welcome Arie Grace

Our first family photo!

On April 29th we welcomed to the world our Arie Grace Speral! She was born at 2:18 pm weighing 6 pounds 11 ounces and 20 inches long! Labor was good and went very fast, a total of 6 hours and 1 hour and 18 minutes of pushing and she was here!!!!
She is very healthy and doing great! We are just getting settled and trying to get used to each other-she is so sweet and we just love to watch her all day-we can't even remember life without her and wonder what we did to pass the time! She is so much fun and we look forward to all of her milestones! Joel is a great dad, I love seeing him with her, I tear up when I see the way he looks at her and talks to her, she has him wrapped around her little that's for sure!
