we are, we are, we are the fun girl thetas......

Friday all of the girls from UND and the infamous Kappa Fun Girl Thetas got together for a little reunion, although most of us live in Fargo we never see each other due to conflicting schedules-and the fact that most us are moms are almost moms! Kristi hosted the get together and we had so much fun, no matter how much time passes we seem to pick up right where we left off. We ate lots of yummy food of course and caught up and each others lives, and there was lots of baby talk of course since many of us are expecting! My how our get together have changed-we are definitely not as wild and crazy as our college days, instead of glitter and halter tops and glitter we were sporting maternity clothes, instead of alcoholic beverages like "skip and go's" and mixed drinks with karkov vodka (ick) we sipped sprite, sparkling cider and wine but we still had a great time and shared many laughes! I love them all so much and wish that we got to do this more often.

27 weeks

Well here is our weekly baby bump update, 27 weeks! 13 more to go!!!! We are almost finished with the nursery, just a few little decorating things left to do-it looks so cute and are so thankful for both of our parents who have helped so much to get the room ready. Yesterday we went stroller/car seat shopping, it was a long day but we ended up finding one. If someone would have seen us trying to figure out those things they would have gotten a good laugh, Joel said about five times "good thing there is no baby in here" as we were picking up, knocking over and completely fumbling while trying to figure our how in the world you get the car seat off of the stroller and tighten the straps on the car seat. We had a good laugh and quickly realized we have no idea what we are doing! I'm sure we will learn fast and now can practice at home how to get her in and out of that thing until she gets here so we will be pros at it!

26 weeks and feeling HUGE!

Well we have made it the 26th week and up to this point have been feeling pretty good. Lately I have been having some lower back pain and trouble sleeping-but that could be due to us letting both dogs sleep with us. How is it that dogs take up so much space and that I sleep on the edge of the bed with no covers so they can be stretched out under the blankets all cozy!?

I decided to go to the chiropractor and get adjusted, after 2 adjustments in one week I think I am feeling a little better, but I have a feeling that as this belly of mine keeps growing that I will be a frequent visitor of my chiropractor-especially if we keep letting these dogs sleep with us!She also told me some news that I knew was coming but was in denial-NO MORE HIGH HEELS!!! Boo-I thought at first, then a very quick second thought-ahhh I have a Dr. note to go shoe shopping!

We have our next appointment on Feb 3rd-and I will take the much talked about glucose test, with so many friends who have already gone thru this pregnancy thing I have been told every story (some of which completely terrified me) but at least I feel like I am prepared! No surprises here I have heard it all!

GIRLS WEEKEND

The girls from Brainerd are coming to Fargo for a visit tomorrow and I cannot wait! On the agenda-lunch, shopping, pedis, shopping, eating, laughing, eating (3 out of the 5 of us are pregnant, due about a week apart from each other and the pregnant ladies like to eat!) I don't think Joel is ready for 5 girls to take over the house this weekend! haha I'm sure he will plant himself on the couch in front of his PS3 in his man cave and hide out from all the gossip, giggles and pregnancy talk! It should be a great weekend-I'm sure one of the last girls get-a-ways we have before these babies start coming!

This picture is of Jessica (due May 6th), Acala (due April 24th) and my (due April 28th) baby bumps while waiting to get a table at Granite City to fuel our bellies before heading out for shopping and pedis-Pregnant ladies gotta eat and boy did we-eating was the main event of the weekend! It is so fun to have such great friends to share this experience with! Acala is also having a little girl and Jessica is not finding out with this one-but I'm pretty sure it's going to be another girl and they are going to be the best of friends too! We ended our night watching old dance movies of Jamie, Stef and I (in our prime-how in the world we were so flexible and fit?! I was tired from just watching the videos) having some wine (non-alcoholic for us 3 preggers of course) and eating endless amounts of top the tator and puppy chow! It was so fun to have the girls here, I just wish we could do it more often

25 week baby belly

Well here is my belly at 25 weeks, it seems to be getting bigger by the day! It amazes me that I still have 3 more months of growing to go! Bending over has become very difficult-putting my socks and shoes on can be a chore-and I'm sure very funny to watch! She is still an active little girl and is on the move most of the day and the middle of the night lately-I think she is just getting me ready for this "no sleep" thing everyone keeps telling me about! We are still working on the nursery one piece of furniture at a time. Grandma and Grandpa Speral orderd us a glider that we will rock our little lady to sleep in, it should be here before the end of the month and Grandma and Grandpa Roberts are giving us the changing table we will no doubt change endless amounts of diapers on. It is really coming along, I can't wait for it to be finished and ready for her arrival!

24 week appointment

We had our 24 week appointment today, everything went really well. The heart rate is in the 160's and everything is measuring right on-I have to admit it was a little shocking seeing those numbers on the scale when I was weighed but everything is going great and we get more and more excited (if that's possible) everyday! Only 16 more weeks and she will be here! Pregnancy has been such a fun adventure, most recently I was amazed when I was sitting on the couch watching tv...and my belly move as the baby was kicking-I couldn't stop giggeling it is such a weird and amazing thing! Joel felt her move for sure the other night when he got home from the cities, I think baby girl Speral was so excited that her daddy was home she was kicking even harder than normal. He had thought he felt her before but this time there was no doubt! It was fun to see his face as she kicked his hand!
