Baby Shower

We had our fist baby shower on Saturday in Brainerd, my cousin Jessica and her mom Debbie threw it for me and baby girl. It was such a fun day! We played a few games, ate some yummy food, opened gifts and had "happy" cake of course! (that's what my niece Olivia calls it) The day could not have been more perfect, thanks Jessica and Debbie for such a fun day!

I have come to the conclusion that this little girl is spoiled already! Her closet is full of adorable clothes and gifts, and if she doesn't have an obsession with shoes already she will as soon as she sees her little shoe collection! The girl has more shoes than me already!!! Thanks everyone for all the great baby gifts and for coming to the shower, it was so wonderful!

30 weeks

30 weeks! It feels like a milestone, only 10 more to go!!! Wow, it amazes me everyday that this little baby is growing like a weed and will be here so soon! This weekend is my first baby shower, I cannot wait to see all my family and show them how big this belly has gotten! I will be a great day! Lynn, Kara and Miss Olivia and I will be heading to Brainerd for the day it should be a nice little girls road trip! I think big cousin Olivia will be my little helper all day opening the gifts for her new baby cousin!

I got home from today and had a fun little surprise waiting for me...a package from my aunt in California! Inside a fab pair of silver flats adorn with silver and gold sparklies! I love them and they fit perfectly! My feet and back thank her!!! (she loves shoes just as much as me if that's possible!) They are really going to dress up this boring pregnancy wardrobe! THANKS DONNA!

Baby Update 29+ weeks

Well I never ended up taking a 28 week baby bump picture...the weeks (besides the hours at work) have been going by so fast-less than 11 weeks now! We are feeling the crunch now and have had moments of pure panic! I wake up at night worrying about everything these days, diapers, car seats, do we need this or do we have that, are we ready for this little girl to be here, and my many many dreams that "she" is born a "he" and all we have is pink stuff!

We had purchased a car seat/stroller system a few weeks ago as I wrote about in a previous entry. After getting it all put together we realized it was not what we wanted, so we took it apart and put it back in the box-NOT an easy task! I have no idea how all of that fit in that box in the first place-we worked on getting it all back in the box for what felt like hours...many many frustrating hours where we exchanged some choice words. But we Finally won and got it all back in the box and returned it. The next challenging task we faced was finding the one we wanted-just a front adjusting car seat not too much to ask for I think-but we found it is a rare thing, at least at the limited stores we had to choose from! After a day full of shopping we finally went home and found one online that we liked-agreeing on one we both liked was also not an easy task, but we did it! Hopefully once it gets here it will be everything we wanted, I don't think either of us could handle another day of car seat shopping! haha!

Next weekend my cousin Jessica is throwing us a baby shower, my first baby shower! I am so excited to see everyone!

Other than that, I have been feeling well. Getting bigger for sure by the day! She gets the hiccups a lot and I think it is so funny-Joel even got to feel them the other day.

28 weeks-only 12 more to go!

We had our 28 week appointment yesterday, the babies heartrate was in the 150's and she had the hiccups while we were listening to the heart beat-so cute! Everything is moving right along and going great. I also took my much talked about glucous test-and the orange stuff is just as sugary as everyone says! I just chugged it and tried not to taste it too much, then it was off to labs where I got to have my blood drawn. Usually a quick and painless experience....not yesterday! I left with 2 black and blue and very sore arms. Oh well small price to pay for this little girl! I also had a rohgam shot for my negative blood type, something I was surprised to find out and good to know!

Pictures soon to follow of the ever expanding bump-just gotta get Joel to take some for me! 12 more weeks!!!!!
