Chucky Cheese with Olivia

We took our neice Olivia to Chucky Cheese Saturday afternoon after months of her asking Uncle Joel to take her. That place is crazy! Joel and Olivia had a great time playing all the games and collecting tickets, Joel was a big kid and it was fun to see him and Olivia having such a great time-I enjoyed watching them, cheering them on and taking pictures. I did play one game of ski ball, Chucky Cheese when you are 9 months preggy is interesting let me tell you! We finished the day with ice cream from McDonalds and then a nice nap for me!

Counting down the days..........

Just a quick update for everyone-39 weeks, well almost 40 now as I am getting to posting this. We are still waiting anxiously waiting her arrival...I have been hopeing she would come this weekend, but she seems to be in no hurry! We have another appointent on Wednesday, my due date and we will see what the Dr. says...here is some pics of the big ole baby bump!

Lisa and Mike's Baby Shower

BABY BOOM!

The Girls

Momma and Daddy to be!

Saturday afternoon we spent the day outside at the Netland's celebrating Lisa and Mike and their little girl on the way May 23rd. It was the most beautiful day to BBQ and catch up. It was a joint shower so the "men" were there too-not partaking in any of the baby shower events but drinking beer and playing some intense games of bags-they did stop long enough to eat with us! It was a great day and we are so happy for Lisa and Mike and can't wait to meet their little girl and for them to move back to Fargo this summer!!!

A weekend off.....

Well the weekend is finally here-thank goodness! And here I am up at 7am wide awake....what to do...both Joel and I have the whole weekend off-this is rare! To my surprise Joel just crawled out of bed too and said he is hitting the links before anyone else gets out there, he always thinks he plays terrible his first few rounds back at it so I'm sure he wants to warm up before actually golfing with other people! So I plan on catching up on some DVR and sitting on the couch-yes my idea of fun these days includes doing a lot of nothing, just trying to enjoy our last few weeks of sleep and being lazy. Every time we do something we say "this could be the last time we do this before the baby comes" it is weird that her arrival may be just around the corner-I think we have most everything ready for her, I have been hoping she will grace us with her arrival maybe a week or so early, here's to hoping!

Next weekend we have a baby shower for a couple of good friends of ours Mike and Lisa who are expecting a little girl in May, we are so exited to see everyone...yes I said "we" it is a couples shower with the boys! It should be a great day, we are grilling and hanging out-hopefully the weather is nice and we can sit on the deck and the boys can play yard games! I'm sure we will have pics to post of that fun day so stay tuned!

And we want to say CONGRATS to Jim and Chan on the arrival of their son Jude! He looks so sweet, we cannot wait to visit with them when they are back this summer-and who knows maybe our litle girl and Jude will hit it off on their first play date and we can start planning their wedding! :)

Lil Babe Speral 36 week update

We had our 36 week checkup on Wednesday and things are moving along. We got confirmation that this little girl is definitely head down now and should stay that way and we have started to make some "progress"! Such a relief! She is just as active as always and keeps me up at night with her hiccups and kicks to the ribs! She must be running out of room in there cause every movement hurts-but I still love it! I'm glad that spring is near and sandal season is back cause these tootsies are swollen and regular shoes are a killer! So Lynn, Kara and I got pedis the other day to make sure our toes were good and pretty!

We feel like we are ready for her arrival, the swing, pack and play and bouncy seats are set up and waiting for her to use-it's just a waiting game now! I'm trying not to get my hopes up that she will come and meet us all a little early but it is hard not to be anxious and excited to meet her!

We plan on enjoying our last few free weekends at home doing a whole lot of nothing! Catching up on DVR, movies and being lazy-something we know in a few short weeks we will not have!

Joel has been busy with work and cleaning up after the flood, he works this weekend and unfortunately has to work on Easter, so I will head to church with his family and then enjoy some yummy brunch with the Speral's afterwards-hopefully Joel will be done working by then and can come and enjoy some egg bake and bunny pancakes! We will miss my family this Easter and hope that they have a wonderful day as well!
